I am very glad to make a speech here in this class again! This time, I'd like to talk something about English.

I love English. English language is now used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade. Learning English makes me confident and brings me great pleasure.

When I was seven, my mother sent me to an English school. At there, I played games and sang English songs with other children . Then I discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the English world.

Everyday, I read English following the tapes. Sometimes, I watch English cartoons.

On the weekend, I often go to the English corner. By talking with different people there, I have made more and more friends as well as improved my oral English.

I hope I can travel around the world someday. I want to go to America to visit Washington Monument, because the president Washington is my idol. Of course, I want to go to London too, because England is where English language developed. If I can ride my bike in Cambridge university, I will be very happy. I hope I can speak English with everyone in the world. I'll introduce China to them, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and Anshan.

I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.

If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So I believe as I love English everyday , it will love me too.

Good afternoon !Today the topic of my speech is “Discover myself”.

I think each people is unique.Everyone is different .I don’t need to envy others，because I think I am the only one in the world.So do u really know yourself?In my parents’eyes,I am a naughty boy. In my friends’ eyes, I am a friendly boy.In my teachers’eyes,I am a boy which progresses.But how do I think of myself?I don’t know.

Everone has merits and shortcomings. we need to discover our disadvantages and get rid of it . However, Lookers-on see most often.So mentors are necessary.In elementary school, I didn’t know the importance of studying.I just know playing all day.One day my english teacher told me (that) she thought I was a intelligent boy.I was shocked by what she said.I didn’t do well in my english subject at that time.I was encouraged by what she said.In other words,what she said made me exicted.Since then,I fell in love with English.I started to read some English novels and listen to music.My english teacher taught me patiently and encouraged me to insist on doing these.I was interested in english.I found it was easy to learn english.It does’t ……此处隐藏5463个字……cal. I should say, in our country, printed books wouldn't be abandoned within 20 years at least for two reasons. Firstly, books are classical container of knowledge. They accompany human to advance. A student without books could be someway ridiculous.

Secondly, our country haven't developed so strong to make every student study by computer or other forms of electronic tools. And even after 20 years, the possibility is also very small. I also think it is unnecessary because books are cheap but useful and still meaningful.

My good friend

I have a good friend , his name is Li Hua. He is 12 years old. He is a student in Hui Dong Middle School. He is tall and strong. He works hard at school.

Li Hua is good at studying , so he often helps me with my studies. He loves music and reading books. We always play football after school ..

Li Hua is a good student and a kind person. We all like him. Do you like him ?

My family

There are four people in my family. They are my parents ,my sister and me . My father is a worker . He works in a factory . My mother is a teacher. She teaches English at a middle school . They like eating healthy food , such as meat and vegetables . They all like playing table tennis. My sister and I are students in the same school . I love my family very much.

Where There is Life, There is Music

What is music, no one can explain.

Just imagine for a moment that you are sitting in a magnificent concert hall. The conductor waves his shiny baton with a graceful swing through the air. A beautiful melody floats slowly around you

You sit quietly with your eyes shut, your heart open. The delicate vibratos of the violins carry you to a mood of heavenly bliss. An airy solo of the flute draws you to the imagination, the notes flow like some jumping swallows dancing and singing calling for the coming of Spring.

I like music from my childhood. My father often says when I was a baby I would never go to sleep without soft, beautiful lullabies crooning around my ears . Now music is a part of my life. When I feel tired, disappointed or in low spirits, I usually turn to music. Music, nothing but only music can have so wonderful an effect on my heart, on my pond of feeling.

Music comes with us. Where there is life, there is music. Where there is music, there is hope. It lies in everyday life, in everyone’s life, in everything we see, in everything we hear-- in the rhythm of the sea, in the whisper of a gentle wind, in the melody of a bird’s singing, in the harmony of village chimes. You can hear music wherever you may go . A man who doesn’t know music will lose half the world. A nation that pays little or no attention to music will be a sad nation. A world without music would be the one for the dead and devils.

So dear friends, let’s open our arms to embrace music and enjoy it throughout our lives. Love music and love life.
